So October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Normally I don't really notice it, but for some reason this year I'm doing what I can to show my support. On the 31st, a few friends and my mom and aunt and I are going to a Breast Cancer walk. I'm pretty stoked. I honestly don't know what I would do if any of my close family or friends, or even myself was diagnosed with breast cancer. I can't imagine the pain and struggle they go through. My grandma [my adopted dad's mom] had breast cancer and beat it a few years ago. I was young, so I didn't really understand it that much, but now I do. I want to make even the smallest difference, even if it's something as small as going on a mile walk to promote awareness. I'm excited, though, for sure.

Other than that, things have been going great for me. I made the Dean's List at school for having a 3.5 GPA or higher. It's my first academic achievement award ever, so I'm proud of myself. I'm also half way done with school. Today I decided that after I graduate, I'm going to wait a few months, take prerequisites and then transfer to UOP and take the dental hygiene course...which takes 3 years...without the prereqs. I don't know how long it takes with them, so I'll find out later.
